At just 176 years old, Cerro Negro is the youngest volcano in Central America and one of Nicaragua’s most active volcanoes. Its erupted 26 times—which is why there’s no vegetation— last one was in August 1999! 🌋
And yes, you can actually go volcano boarding here! 🛷💨 The only one in the world. 🌎
The hike up was an adventure in itself, with spectacular 360° views of Nicaragua’s volcanic landscape and a close-up look straight down into Cerro Negro’s crater. 😍
Then came the ride down… STEEP, fast, and honestly terrifying when your short legs can barely slow down the momentum! 😂
But the real MVP? Our guide, Jared, RUNNING SIDEWAYS AND DOWNHILL AFTER ME to capture the video shots. 🏃♂️📹🌋
The views? Incredible. The adrenaline? REAL. The guide dedication? NEXT LEVEL.
